Women's Only 16hr Concealed Carry
Service Description
Thank you for choosing Good Shepherd Defense for your training needs. The 16-hour concealed carry course that you have signed up for is a 2-day event and will take place from 8 am to 430 pm both days. All classroom/study materials will be made available for your use during the class. Saturday is a classroom day and does not require you to bring anything. Sunday is qualification day, you will need to bring a concealable firearm and at least 50 rounds of factory-loaded ammunition, eye and ear protection, and a holster and belt. Firearms and protective gear are available to rent if you do not have your own. We will also have belts and holsters available to loan out (free of charge) if you do not have your own. Our location address is 8919 N. University St. Please park in the North parking lot and enter via the East Facing door (The door with the big Good Shepherd sign above it) Please be on time or arrive early. DO NOT BE LATE. Though this course does not require any previous training, it would make your training more enjoyable and less stressful if you have at least a basic understanding of firearms/shooting. The live fire qualification consists of a review of handgun fundamentals, concealment techniques, and a live fire shooting exercise which includes a minimum of 30 rounds being fired in the following manner: 10 rounds from a distance of 5 yards; 10 rounds from a distance of 7 yards; and 10 rounds from a distance of 10 yards at a B-27 silhouette target approved by the IL State Police. The rest of the course will be in a classroom setting and will include training on all applicable State and Federal laws relating to the ownership, storage, carry, and transportation of a firearm. In these two hours, we will discuss what laws have changed since you last attended training and we will also review important laws you need to know. Missing the range portion means you will not qualify for the renewal. Students will receive all necessary paperwork and certificates at the class.

We are a super-small business and due to the limited number of seats available in our classes, we are unable to process refunds for our training services. We do, however; offer a rollover service. Meaning, If a student misses training or needs to be re-scheduled we can roll them over to a future date. There is a one-time $35.00 administration fee associated with each ticket rolled over. We are committed to training you and we ask that you show us the same respect by being committed to learning. This means being in the right place, at the right time, and being ready to train.
